Catch kick, vertical elbow, reverse elbow
This technique is a way to deliver an immediate, surprising counter attack in response to the opponent’s roundhouse kick. Catching the kick firmly puts the opponent jumping on one leg, making it difficult for him to stay balanced and have any serious force in his counter punches. After catching the kick, an elbow strike is delivered vertically into the thigh area of the opponent. This can cause serious pain or damage when delivered with force, making sure to contact with the tip of the elbow. Finally, a smooth transition from the vertical elbow into a reverse elbow completes the technique. Muay thai at its classic, brutal beauty.
