Muay Thai/MMA Elbow Strike: instructional

The side elbow is well used in the muay thai clinch, and is a weapon often resorted to, if the opponent lowers his guard a little.

For best results, the fighter must drive the momentum from the rotation of the leg and the hips. Weight should be put behind the strike and the entire range of motion completed. Contact should preferably be made with the tip of the elbow.
